My primary areas of research experience include iron homeostasis and observational and interventional metabolic functional studies in different types of diabetes mellitus and obesity. Other experience includes epidemiological studies, secondary data analysis for answering public health related questions, analysis of hospital electronic health records, applying genomic and microbiome technologies to answer clinically important questions utilizing programming and computational tools.
Past research projects involved in:
Targeted Second-Generation sequencing for the molecular genetic diagnosis of Maturity Onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY)
Metabolic characteristics of lean diabetes in rural and semi-urban India
Study on metabolic characteristics in subjects with fibrocalculous pancreatic diabetes from India.
