1. Dr. Arthur Amit Suryakumar, final year MD Biochemistry trainee, has been awarded the 1st prize for e-poster presentation for his work titled " Hepcidin and iron-related parameters in pregnancy: how do they correlate? " at the 28th Annual Conference of the Association of Medical Biochemists of India (AMBICON 2021) held in AIIMS, Raipur from 2nd to 5th December 2021.

2. Dr. Bhargavi A., final year MD Biochemistry trainee, has been awarded the 3rd prize for e-poster presentation for her work titled "Effect of alternate-day versus daily oral iron supplements on iron status in young women: preliminary data from a randomized control trial" at the 28th Annual Conference of the Association of Medical Biochemists of India (AMBICON 2021) held in AIIMS, Raipur from 2nd to 5th December 2021.

Dr. Molly Jacob

1. The Father Rev Lourdu Yedanapalli Award from Christian Medical College, Vellore, in 2007. This is awarded once in 2 years to a faculty member in the institution who is less than 45 years of age, for carrying out research which significantly contributes to a body of knowledge of medical sciences or induces significant changes in approaches to health care.

2. The ICMR Kshanika Oration Award from the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, India, in 2009, for significant contributions in biomedical research in India.

3. Chintala Sita Devi Oration Award from the Association of Medical Biochemists of India in Dec 2012.

4. Jacob Chandy Research Chair, Christian Medical College, Vellore in from Jan 2013 for 4 years.

5. AS Saini Oration Award at the 23rd Annual Conference of the Association of Medical Biochemists of India in Nov 2014.

6. Senior Scientist Award at the 2nd International Workshop on Micronutrients and Child Health, held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in Nov 2014. 

7. Nominated as Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences of India, Allahabad in 2015

Dr. Premila Abraham

1. The Tamil Nadu Young Women Scientists Award in 2004 in recognition for her work on toxicity of some commonly used drugs.

2. The Shakuntala Amir Chand Prize of the ICMR, New Delhi, India for scientists below the age of 40 in 2007.

3. DBT-CREST Award (Cutting Edge Research Enhancement and Scientific Training Award) 2011.

4. The National Women Bioscientists’ Award under the Junior category for 2010 from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), New Delhi, India, for outstanding contributions towards understanding the molecular mechanism of anti-cancer drug cyclophosphamide-induced haemorrhagic cystitis and ways to minimize the damage through therapeutic efficacy of aminoguanidine.

5. PMSDS (Pharma Medical Sciences Development Society) Excellence in Research Award 2021 for outstanding contribution in the field of Medical Biochemistry

1. Early Career Fellowship from the Wellcome Trust-DBT India Alliance (2012-2016).

2. Drs. Molly and Thomas Bhanu Award from Christian Medical College, Vellore for the Best Teacher in 2012.

3. First prize for by a member of faculty (oral presentations) in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2018. second prize in 2021 and third prize in 2017 at the Annual Research Day, CMC, Vellore 

4. The Rev. Fr. Lourdu M Yeddanapalli S.J. Award 2021: This award is given to a faculty member in CMC who has made outstanding contributions to research in basic or applied sciences.
